Anne Frank ACHS UIL Dress Rehearsal

I was asked to photograph the dress rehearsal of ACHS UIL Spring Play of Anne Frank last week. The dress rehearsal took place in the band room, while the actual performance, where still pictures are not allowed, was on a local college stage. These students brought the heart wrenching story to life and left us all speechless, and many with tears running down their cheeks.

In this image Anne Frank, being played by Samantha, is handing out gifts during Hanukah
to her family and friends.

This was the beginning of the most difficult part of the play, the young man who played Anne's father is telling us about their capture, and is about to walk around the room and share with us how long each person lived after the Nazi's put them in a concentration camp. So powerful.

Anne's father is making his rounds around the room and placing his hand by the person he refers to and gives us the information on their deaths in the concentration camps. Once this scene began, we never saw their faces again, they kept their faces hidden or facing down.
