The Snow

We have had some amazing snow fall this winter. I have regretted after the fact that I have not taken the trudge out into the snow to take some pictures. Today I decided on the spur of the moment that I needed to grab my camera and head out. Jack came along for the ride, but he wanted to stay in the car and take all the beauty in while staying dry and warm. I put on my new rain boots that have turned into my best investment this year and was ready to face the snow and slush with camera in hand. All these locations were within about 2 miles of my house, many of these are classic Texas. I heart Texas. I am thankful to such a creative God who can turn a bunch of dead looking grass into a winter wonderland even if for just one day. I think this beautiful snow will be gone tomorrow, but it will live on for me as a screensaver for much longer than that. To see a slideshow of all the pics click here.

I like #4402. I made me think of God walking in to snow. We can't always "see" Him walking, but He will always leave footprints.

I like #4405 - the contrast of the red is just fun...and bows always make me smile (even if they are plastic).

Hey, Tammy!

We just got gorgeous fat snowflakes here last Friday, but none stuck. Too "warm."

I LOVE 4441!! For all the reasons I left on FB.

If I don't win, tell me how much you will sell it to us for, okay?!

Love, Dee

P.S. I need a picker upper. Just had neurosurgery on my left arm last week and it's all still numb & I'm bummed out.

I love the dychotamy of the purely Texas prickly pear against a snowy white backdrop. Crazy!
